Formatt Hitech 95mm Al Front Accessory Ring For 85mm Holder
Formatt Hitech 95mm Al Front Accessory Ring For 85mm Holder | Add a front accessory connection
Get a filter setup that’s ready for a front accessory, without replacing the holder you already use. This Formatt Hitech ring is made for an 85mm holder, giving photographers a purpose-specific way to build out that system. It suits landscape photographers and other image-makers who work with a holder at the front of the lens and want to add an accessory to their setup. The ring’s role is simple: it connects the holder with the front accessory arrangement, helping keep the parts of a filter system working together as intended. That’s useful when you’re shaping a bright sky in a landscape or managing reflections, and want to keep your setup organised rather than improvise a connection. It’s a small component, but the right one can make a filter setup easier to use. Think of it as an addition to an existing holder system, not a holder or filter on its own.
Specialist Note
A common first-time mix-up is treating the holder’s 85mm size as the size of every part in the setup. This is a 95mm front accessory ring, so keep that distinction in mind when planning how your filters and accessories will fit together. Its aluminium construction makes it a proper metal component in the connection, rather than a filter or holder in its own right. I’d suggest it to someone who already uses an 85mm holder and wants to build a more complete front-end setup for landscape work, such as balancing a bright sky against darker ground with a filter. One limitation: the ring alone won’t give you that effect; you’ll need the holder and the relevant filter too.
