Formatt Hitech FC 105mm Superslim Stackable UV 400 Filter
Formatt Hitech FC 105mm Superslim Stackable UV 400 Filter | Slim, stackable UV filtering
Adding a filter to a large lens can make an already sizeable setup feel more cumbersome. The Formatt Hitech FC 105mm Superslim Stackable UV 400 Filter gives you UV filtration in a slim format, with a stackable design for building a filter setup around it. Its 105mm size makes it a specific option for photographers whose lens takes that filter size, rather than a one-size-fits-all accessory. It suits outdoor photographers who want a UV filter in place for daylight landscapes, or anyone assembling a setup that may use more than one filter. The UV 400 designation identifies the filter’s UV range; it’s the reason to choose this model over a filter without that designation. The slim, stackable format keeps the choice practical when you want to add filtration without giving up the option of layering filters. Just make sure your lens takes a 105mm filter.
Specialist Note
Is the Formatt Hitech FC 105mm Superslim Stackable UV 400 Filter suitable for any lens? No—it’s for a lens that takes a 105mm filter, so that size is the first thing to match. The Superslim design is helpful if you’re trying to keep a filter setup less bulky, while the stackable construction gives you the option to layer filters when your shot calls for it. I’d consider it for daylight landscape work where you want UV 400 filtration, or as part of a layered filter setup. It’s a specialist size, so it won’t be the right fit for every lens; its appeal is the combination of that slim profile and stackability.
