Godox SK200II/SK300II/SK400II - Trigger Board
Godox SK200II/SK300II/SK400II - Trigger Board | Fire off-camera flashes
Having to trigger a flash from the camera position can get in the way of a portrait or product setup. This Godox trigger board is a transmitter for firing off-camera flashes, so you can work with the flash away from the camera rather than relying on a flash mounted in place. It’s intended for the Godox SK200II, SK300II and SK400II models, making it relevant when you need a trigger board for one of those units. The job is straightforward: send the firing signal so the flash can light a subject from a chosen position. That makes it most useful for portraits, where you may want light coming from beside the subject, and product photography, where you can position light around an object. It’s a focused component for flash triggering, rather than a lighting modifier or a complete flash setup.
Specialist Note
For a product shot with an SK300II set off to one side, this is the trigger board I’d look at when the flash needs to fire away from the camera. Its role as a transmitter is the point: it sends the firing signal, while the flash itself provides the light. The product name also specifies the SK200II, SK300II and SK400II, so it’s aimed at owners of those models rather than being a general-purpose lighting accessory. I’d consider it for controlled portrait lighting too, where moving the flash off-camera gives you more freedom over where the light falls. It won’t shape that light for you; positioning and modifiers are still part of the setup.
