H&Y HD EVO ND Landscape Filter Kit 112mm
H&Y HD EVO ND Landscape Filter Kit 112mm | Create motion in landscape scenes
Softer water and gently blurred clouds can give a landscape photograph a stronger sense of movement. The H&Y HD EVO ND Landscape Filter Kit 112mm is an ND filter kit for photographers who want to explore that effect by reducing the light reaching the camera. With less light, you can use a longer shutter speed in bright conditions and let moving water or clouds blur across the frame. It’s especially relevant for coastlines, rivers and open views where movement is part of the scene. You control the result through your shutter speed: a longer exposure records more motion, while a shorter one keeps more detail. This is a focused tool for landscape work, rather than a filter intended to change colour or add a decorative effect. The exposure you choose still depends on the scene and the look you want.
Specialist Note
112mm is the format cue to pay attention to: match it to the filter setup you plan to use before heading out. The ND designation tells you the job this kit is intended for—reducing light so you can work with longer exposures. For a river or shoreline, frame the scene first, then lengthen the shutter speed until the water’s movement feels right; for moving clouds, use the same approach while keeping the landscape composed. I’d point this towards someone who wants motion to become part of a landscape image, rather than simply freezing every detail. Keep an eye on the exposure as you adjust: the scene itself determines the final setting.
