H&Y HD EVO-Series IRND1000 Filter Kit 72mm
H&Y HD EVO-Series IRND1000 Filter Kit 72mm | Control light for longer exposures
H&Y HD EVO-Series IRND1000 Filter Kit 72mm is a 72mm IRND1000 filter kit for photographers who want to reduce the light reaching the camera and make longer exposures. It suits landscape and architectural photographers, and anyone drawn to the soft movement of water or clouds while keeping static subjects defined. The IRND1000 designation identifies the filter type and strength; it’s intended for situations where reducing incoming light lets you use a longer shutter speed than the scene would otherwise allow. That makes it especially relevant in bright conditions, when a slower exposure can be hard to achieve with camera settings alone. The 72mm size is an important practical detail: it’s the measurement to match with a lens’s filter thread. If you already use 72mm filters, this kit belongs in that setup; if your lens has a different thread size, it won’t be a direct fit. It’s a focused tool for deliberate exposure choices, rather than an all-purpose filter.
Specialist Note
Photographers who shoot moving water, drifting clouds or busy streets will get the most from this H&Y kit. The IRND1000 designation points to a strong light-reducing filter, so you can lengthen the exposure to soften movement while keeping your framing fixed; use a tripod and adjust the shutter speed to suit the effect you want. Its 72mm size means it’s made to match a lens with a 72mm filter thread, which is worth bearing in mind if you rotate between lenses. I’d choose this for intentional long-exposure work, not as a filter to leave on for every scene: reducing that much light is useful when you want slower shutter speeds, but less convenient when you need to work quickly.
