Hahnemühle Agave 290GSM 44 INCHX12 M

Hahnemühle Agave 290GSM 44 INCHX12 M | Wide 44-inch roll for photo printing

Large photo prints start with choosing a media size that suits the image and your print plans. The Hahnemühle Agave is a photo-printing roll identified by its 44-inch width, 12-metre length and 290 gsm weight. That gives you the key numbers to consider when planning prints: how wide your intended output needs to be, how much roll length you’ll use and the stated paper weight. It’s aimed at photographers and print studios looking for a wide-format roll, rather than someone shopping for a small pack of sheets. The honest advantage is clarity of format: width, length and weight are all in the product name. If those are the figures you need, this is a straightforward option to assess for your next print run.

Choosing the roll format

The 44-inch width is the first measurement to compare with the print size you have in mind. It describes the roll width, so allow for the fact that your finished image may use less than the full width. The 12-metre length helps you plan how much material a run of prints could require; the amount used will depend on the dimensions and layout of each print. At 290 gsm, the product also gives you a specific weight figure to use when comparing print media. These details make the product name useful at a glance, especially when you’re working from a print plan or discussing a job with a client. Choose it by matching the stated roll format and weight to your intended work, rather than relying on the name alone to decide how a finished print will look.
