Hahnemühle Hemp 290GSM 36 INCHX12 M

Hahnemühle Hemp 290GSM 36 INCHX12 M | Wide-format photo paper in a 12-metre roll

What sets Hahnemühle Hemp 290GSM 36 INCHX12 M apart on the product page is the clear combination of a substantial paper weight and a wide, long format. It’s photo-printing paper for photographers and printmakers who need to plan around larger prints or a roll-based workflow. The listed weight is 290 GSM, and the format is 36 inches by 12 metres, giving you concrete figures to compare with the size and volume of work you have in mind. If you’re choosing media for a particular project, those dimensions are the practical starting point: consider the width your prints require and how much material you expect to use. The product name identifies it as Hemp paper from Hahnemühle. That makes this a specific paper option to assess against your own printing needs, rather than a choice based on an unverified claim about finish or print results.

Before choosing any photo paper, it helps to work backwards from the finished print. Decide on the largest image width you expect to produce, then consider whether a 36-inch format suits that work. Think about how many prints you’ll make as well: a 12-metre length is useful information when estimating whether the roll matches a single project or a longer run. The 290 GSM figure gives you another clear point of comparison when weighing paper options. These details won’t tell you how a particular image will look on the paper, so use your own print requirements to guide the decision. If you already have a defined print size and quantity in mind, the measurements here make it easier to judge whether this format belongs on your shortlist.
