Hama DSL-Aansluitkabel Modular Plug 8P4C - Modular Plug 6P4C 3 M

Hama DSL Connection Cable Modular Plug 8P4C to Modular Plug 6P4C, 3 m | A direct link for DSL connections

The defining detail here is the pair of different modular plug types: 8P4C at one end and 6P4C at the other. Hama has made this a cable for a DSL connection between those two plug formats, rather than a cable with matching ends. It’s a practical option when that specific connection is what your setup calls for. At 3 metres, it gives you some room to route the cable between connection points without needing to place them right next to each other. The black finish is understated, so it won’t draw much attention alongside other cables. This is a fairly specific accessory; the useful thing is its clearly stated connector pairing. If those are the plug types you need for your DSL connection, the cable’s purpose is easy to understand before you buy.

A straightforward connection

Use the cable for the DSL link where one end needs an 8P4C modular plug and the other needs a 6P4C modular plug. The different ends are the main point to keep in mind: this isn’t described as a cable with the same plug on each side. Its 3-metre length can help when the two connection points aren’t directly beside each other, while still keeping the run manageable in an everyday setup. There’s no need to read extra claims into it. The product name tells you the connection type and the plug formats; the supplier identifies the colour as black. That makes it easiest to choose by matching the stated plug types to the connection you’re making.
