Hama Glasvezel-Network Cable LC/Apc-Plug - LC/Apc-Plug 10 GBIT/s 9.00 M

Hama Fibre Optic Network Cable LC/APC Plug – LC/APC Plug, 10 Gbit/s, 9 m | A long fibre link for network connections

A 9-metre cable gives you room to place a network connection where it needs to go, without having to keep the connected points close together. This Hama fibre optic network cable has an LC/APC plug at each end and is rated for 10 Gbit/s. It suits a setup that calls for those connectors and that stated data rate; the key practical detail is matching the plug type at both ends of your cable run. The cable is white, so its colour is easy to identify when you’re arranging a visible run or sorting several cables. Its length is the useful part for routing between separated points. Measure the path you intend to take, rather than the straight-line distance, to see whether nine metres gives you enough reach.

LC/APC is the connector format named for this cable, and it appears on both ends. That gives you a straightforward detail to compare with the connection points in your network setup before choosing a cable. The stated 10 Gbit/s rate is another concrete point to match to the connection you’re planning; it describes the cable’s listed rate, not the speed of an entire network. At 9 metres, you have more routing distance than a short patch lead, while still working with a defined cable length. A little planning helps: follow the route the cable will actually take, including turns and the distance around furniture or equipment. The white finish may also make the cable easier to spot against some backgrounds. For a fibre link requiring LC/APC plugs and a 10 Gbit/s rating, this Hama cable brings those details together in one 9-metre run.
