Hama Grey Filter-Set ND8 ND64 ND1000 58 mm w/ Filtertas
Hama Grey Filter Set ND8 ND64 ND1000 58 mm with Filter Pouch | Choose the light reduction your scene needs
The defining decision is to include three neutral-density strengths: ND8, ND64 and ND1000. Each reduces the light reaching the camera by a different amount, so you can choose a filter to suit the scene and the effect you want. That’s useful when you want a longer exposure in daylight, for example to soften moving water, or when you want to use a wider aperture in bright conditions. Rather than relying on one density for every situation, this set gives you three options to work with. It’s aimed at photographers who want to explore exposure creatively and prefer choosing a filter to suit the light in front of them. The names indicate different strengths, not graduated effects across the glass. For long exposures, you’ll still need to adjust your camera’s exposure settings to account for the light the filter removes. The set is a straightforward way to have several levels of light reduction available.
Specialist Note
Choosing between three strengths gives you a practical way to adapt as the light or your intended shutter effect changes. For a gentle blur in moving water, start with the ND8; for a much longer exposure, move to the ND1000. The 58 mm size is the detail to match to your lens: use it on a lens marked with a 58 mm filter size. I also like that the set comes with a filter pouch, so the filters have a dedicated place when you’re changing strengths. It suits photographers keen to try long exposures or wider apertures outdoors. Just remember that reducing light means adjusting exposure to get the result you want.
