Hama USB-Card Reader USB-A w/ USB-C-Adapter USB 3.2 GEN1 SD/Micro SD/CF/MS

Hama USB Card Reader USB-A with USB-C Adapter | Read several card formats

The defining choice is the USB-A connection, paired with a USB-C adapter. Hama has given this card reader two ways to connect, so it can suit different USB ports without making the reader itself more complicated. It’s for photographers and other users who need to get files from memory cards onto a connected device. Its strongest point is the range of card formats it supports: SD, microSD, CF and MS. That makes it handy if your cards don’t all come from the same camera or device. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard describes its connection, rather than promising a particular transfer time; actual speeds can depend on the card and the connected device. In black, it keeps the look simple. If you mainly use one card format, the extra format support may be more than you need, but it gives you options when your workflow changes.

For a mixed card collection

Having SD, microSD, CF and MS support in one reader can make file transfers more straightforward when you work with cards from different devices. Instead of choosing a reader around just one format, you can use this Hama model for each of those card types. The USB-C adapter adds another connection option alongside USB-A, which is useful when the ports available to you vary between devices. That flexibility is the practical idea behind this reader: one compact task, moving files from cards, with more than one card format and connector accounted for. It’s a straightforward tool rather than a storage device itself, so you’ll still need the memory card and a device to connect it to.
