Hama Video-Cable USB-C-Plug-HDMIO-Plug UltraHD 4K 3.00m | Connect USB-C to HDMI

Trying to connect a USB-C port to an HDMI connection can leave you hunting for the right cable. This Hama video cable gives you a direct link between the two: it has a USB-C plug at one end and an HDMI plug at the other. It’s intended for setups where those are the connections you need, with UltraHD 4K named in the product specification. At 3 metres long, it gives you some room to route the cable between devices rather than having them right beside each other. That can make a difference when the available ports sit on opposite sides of a desk or display area. Before you settle on it, check that the equipment at each end has the matching port and supports the connection you want. It’s a straightforward cable; the useful part is having the two different plug types in one run.

Planning the connection

Think about the route the cable needs to take, not just the distance between the devices. Allow for the path around furniture or along a desk, and leave enough slack at each end to reach the ports without pulling on the plugs. The 3-metre length gives you a little flexibility for that routing. The cable’s job is to link a USB-C connection with an HDMI connection; it doesn’t tell you by itself what video output a particular device can provide. For a 4K setup, the devices and their settings matter too, so treat the UltraHD 4K description as the cable’s stated video format rather than a promise about every connected device. This is a practical option when the connector types and cable route suit your setup.
