Ilford Galerie Prestige Gold Cotton Textrd GPGCT 111.8cmx15m

Ilford Galerie Prestige Gold Cotton Textrd GPGCT 111.8cmx15m | Textured paper in a wide roll

Your prints will have a textured surface on Ilford Galerie Prestige Gold Cotton Textrd, a photo paper supplied as a 111.8 cm-wide, 15 m roll. It’s aimed at photographers and printmakers making larger photo prints who want the paper’s surface to be part of the finished image. The name identifies it as cotton paper with a textured surface; that gives you a clear starting point when choosing a paper to suit the look of your work. The wide format is useful when a standard sheet would limit the size of your print, while the roll length gives you room to plan multiple prints from the same material. One practical point: at nearly 112 cm wide, this is a substantial roll, so it helps to plan your print sizes and handling space before setting up a job.

The product code is GPGCT. Keep that code with your print notes if you’re comparing papers or ordering the same paper again; it makes the exact product easier to identify than relying on a shortened name. The full name also helps distinguish this roll from other papers in Ilford’s Galerie Prestige range.

Think about the image as well as the dimensions when deciding where to use it. A textured surface is a visible choice in the finished print, so it may suit images where you want the paper’s character to be noticed. If you’re preparing a print run, the stated 15 m length gives you a straightforward figure to use when planning how much roll material your work may require.
