JJC ET-77 Lens Hood RF 85mm f/2.0 Macro
JJC ET-77 Lens Hood RF 85mm f/2.0 Macro | Helps keep stray light off your lens
Without a hood, strong light from outside the frame can reach the front of a lens and reduce contrast. The JJC ET-77 is a lens hood for the RF 85mm f/2.0 Macro, giving that light a physical barrier before it reaches the lens. It suits photographers who use this lens for portraits, detail work or both, and want a straightforward way to manage stray light while shooting outdoors or near a bright window. Its value is practical rather than dramatic: it doesn’t change the character of your pictures, but it can help avoid unwanted flare in situations where the light is coming from an awkward angle. If you already use the RF 85mm f/2.0 Macro, this is a focused accessory for keeping more control over the light around your frame.
Specialist Note
This hood won’t change what the lens can resolve, but it gives you a simple way to control stray light with the RF 85mm f/2.0 Macro. The 85mm focal length suits portraits, and at f/2 you can open the aperture to soften the background; the hood is useful when bright light is just outside your composition. It also makes sense for macro details, where a small change in your shooting angle can bring stray light into play. One thing to watch: at very close focus, the hood may shade a small subject. If that happens, take it off and adjust your lighting instead.
