K&F Concept Variable ND Filter ND2-ND400 Blue Coated 62mm
K&F Concept Variable ND Filter ND2-ND400 Blue Coated 62mm | Control exposure in bright light
Bright light can leave you with a shutter speed that’s too fast for the motion you want, or an aperture you’d rather not change. This K&F Concept variable ND filter reduces the light reaching the camera, with a range from ND2 to ND400 to give you more room to manage exposure. It’s suited to photographers and filmmakers working outdoors who want to retain control over motion and depth of field in changing light. For example, you can use a stronger ND setting to help create motion blur in a sunlit scene, or a lighter setting when you need only a modest reduction in light. The 62mm size is the key fit detail to match against your lens’s filter thread. It’s a focused tool for exposure control; the product name also identifies it as blue coated, without suggesting a particular colour effect.
Specialist Note
The ND2-ND400 range has a clear limit: it can reduce light, but it can’t decide the exposure you want. That range is still the reason I’d suggest it to someone who films outside or likes longer exposures in daylight; you can work from the lighter ND2 end towards the much stronger ND400 end as conditions call for it. For a bright riverside scene, increase the ND setting to help show movement in the water; for outdoor video, use it to give yourself more control over shutter speed. Check the 62mm size against your lens before choosing it. The blue coating is part of this filter’s specification, but I wouldn’t promise a particular colour result from that wording alone.
