Kaiser Diascop 1 Diavieuwer

Kaiser Diascop 1 Slide Viewer: View mounted slides at 2×

Review mounted slides at twice their original viewing size with the Kaiser Diascop 1, a compact, battery-powered slide viewer for looking through a collection without setting up a projector. Its 2× magnification gives you a straightforward way to inspect individual images at home, revisit family slides, or sort through a selection before sharing it. The viewer measures 80 × 160 × 170 mm, so it’s small enough to carry along when you want to look at slides somewhere other than your usual desk. A 2.5V lamp illuminates the slide, while two C batteries power the unit; those batteries aren’t included. There’s a simple on/off switch for controlling the lamp. This is a focused piece of equipment: it’s for viewing slides, rather than scanning or projecting them. For anyone working through a box of transparencies, its modest size and direct viewing setup keep the task simple.

Slide Viewing Details

• 2× magnification: View each slide enlarged through the viewer, making it easier to look closely at an image as you work through a collection. It’s a simple way to inspect slides one at a time.
• 2.5V lamp: The built-in lamp lights the slide for viewing. It’s a specific, low-voltage light source, so the viewer has illumination of its own rather than relying on a separate light for the slide.
• Runs on two C batteries: The Diascop 1 takes two C cells for power. This battery-operated design is handy when your viewing spot doesn’t have a convenient power connection; the batteries need to be purchased separately.
• On/off switch: A physical switch controls the viewer’s lamp. You can turn the light off when you’ve finished looking at a slide, rather than leaving the lamp switched on between viewing sessions.
• Compact dimensions: At 80 × 160 × 170 mm, the viewer has a small footprint and is easy to carry. Its size makes it suitable for keeping with a slide collection or taking along for a viewing session elsewhere.
• Made for direct slide viewing: The Diascop 1 is a dedicated viewer for looking at slides, not a scanning or projection device. That keeps its purpose clear: inspect transparencies individually with magnification and an illuminated view.
