Kondor Blue KB-15ROD3 3'' PPSH 15mm Rod Thread Space Grey

Kondor Blue KB-15ROD3 3'' PPSH 15mm Rod Thread Space Grey | A compact cable detail for rig builds

Without a specifically named cable part, it can take extra sorting to find the right detail for a rig. The Kondor Blue KB-15ROD3 is a cable accessory identified by its 3-inch size, PPSH designation and 15mm rod thread, in Space Grey. It suits camera makers and operators putting together a rig where that rod-and-thread detail is relevant, and who want to work from a clear part name rather than a broad cable description. Its strength is that specific naming: you can assess it against the connection and space your build calls for. The honest caveat is that the title alone doesn’t tell the whole story of how it connects, so I wouldn’t assume a fit based only on the product name. If the designation matches the part you’re sourcing, this gives you a concise reference for that particular cable item.

For a considered rig build

Small cable parts can be easy to overlook while planning a camera setup. It’s worth thinking through the route a cable needs to take, the room available around the rod area, and how the connection will sit alongside the other parts of the build. Those checks are useful for any rigging project, especially when a part is being selected by a specific thread or rod description rather than by appearance alone. The KB-15ROD3’s name gives you several concrete details to compare with your own requirements, without relying on a guess about the camera system or other hardware. Space Grey also gives the colour name to look for when keeping track of parts in a build. Keep the full product designation handy when discussing or searching for this item; it helps distinguish this cable accessory from parts with different names.
