Kondor Blue KB-CANON-BC EF Cine Cap Metal Housing Cover For Camera Lens Mount
Kondor Blue KB-CANON-BC EF Cine Cap Metal Housing Cover For Camera Lens Mount | Covers an open EF mount between lens changes
Without a dedicated cap, a camera’s lens mount is left open whenever the lens comes off. The Kondor Blue KB-CANON-BC is a cine cap made to cover an EF camera lens mount during those gaps in your setup. It’s for filmmakers and camera crews who regularly remove a lens for a change, a rig adjustment or storage, and want a purpose-made cover close at hand. Its job is straightforward: cover the mount while it’s not in use, rather than leave it exposed as you move between tasks. This is most useful during lens swaps and when packing a camera body between setups. It isn’t a replacement for a lens, and it doesn’t add another camera function; it’s a dedicated cover for the mount. The metal housing gives the cap a defined, solid form, making it a practical part of a camera kit where a simple loose cover might be easy to misplace.
Specialist Note
“Does this cover an EF mount when I take the lens off?” Yes—that’s exactly what the KB-CANON-BC is for. I’d keep it with a camera body that gets frequent lens changes, then fit the cap over the EF mount while the body is between lenses or packed away. The metal housing means you’re handling a rigid cap, which gives the cover a clear, purpose-built feel rather than the feel of a soft cover. It suits crews who want the open mount covered during a changeover or while moving a camera between setups. Just think of it as a mount cover, not as a substitute for the lens itself.
