Kondor Blue KB-CAR-80 Cine Lens Clamp-On Adapter Rings 95-80 Adapter
Kondor Blue KB-CAR-80 Cine Lens Clamp-On Adapter Rings 95-80 Adapter | Bridge two clamp-on sizes
The defining choice here is the 95-to-80 mm sizing: this adapter ring is made to bridge those two clamp-on sizes in a cine-lens setup. It suits filmmakers and camera assistants who need a size transition in their rig, rather than a new lens or an optical accessory. Its purpose is specific and practical: adapt a clamp-on arrangement where the larger and smaller fittings differ. That makes it most useful when assembling or reconfiguring a cine-lens setup around those measurements. The product name identifies the size pairing, so there’s no need to guess what transition it’s intended to provide. Keep in mind that this is a size-specific adapter; it won’t solve a mismatch involving other diameters. If your setup calls for the stated pairing, it offers a direct, clearly defined part for that job.
Specialist Note
For filmmakers building shots around cine lenses and a clamp-on rig, this is a very focused piece of kit. I’d use it when the setup calls for a 95 mm-to-80 mm transition, so the two stated sizes can meet without changing the lens. That makes it relevant when you’re configuring a rig for a particular lens and need the clamp-on sizing to match. The cine-lens clamp-on design tells you where it belongs; the 95-to-80 sizing tells you whether it suits your setup. My honest advice is to treat it as a precise adapter, not a general-purpose ring: it’s useful for that size pairing, but it won’t cover other diameters.
