Kondor Blue KB-PROGMP-BK Pro Gold Mount Battery Plate w/ Swivel Rod Block Black | Gold Mount power with a swivel rod block

Without a dedicated battery plate and rod-block accessory, those parts have to be planned separately. The Kondor Blue KB-PROGMP-BK brings a Pro Gold Mount battery plate together with a swivel rod block in a black tripod accessory. It’s aimed at camera builders arranging a rig around Gold Mount power who want the rod-block element included in the same part of that build. The plate serves the battery side of the setup, while the swivel block adds an angle-adjusting point to the rod arrangement. That makes it relevant when laying out a tripod-supported camera rig, rather than as a general-purpose support piece. If Gold Mount is already your chosen battery format, this gives you a specifically named mounting component to consider. Its role is focused: it’s an accessory for rig building, not a complete power system.

Specialist Note

Is the KB-PROGMP-BK a Gold Mount battery plate or a rod-block accessory? It combines both: it’s named as a Pro Gold Mount battery plate with a swivel rod block. I’d consider it when building a tripod-based rig around Gold Mount power, especially if you want the plate and rod-block role accounted for together. There are two named elements here, which is useful to keep in mind when planning: start with the Gold Mount plate as the battery-side part, then work the swivel block into the rod layout your rig needs. Its scope is specific, though; the Gold Mount designation makes it a focused part for that battery format, not a universal power solution.
