Kondor Blue KB-PS5II Panasonic LUMIX S5II/X CageE w/ Handle Top / Space Grey
Kondor Blue KB-PS5II Panasonic LUMIX S5II/X CageE w/ Handle Top / Space Grey | Extra support for handheld video
Handheld video can get tiring when you’re trying to keep a camera supported and your framing controlled. The Kondor Blue KB-PS5II is a shoulder rig for Panasonic LUMIX S5II/X cameras, combining a cage with a top handle to give you a more supported setup for handheld work. It’s aimed at video makers who want to move with the camera rather than keep every shot fixed on a tripod. Use it for interviews, presenter pieces or short moving shots where you need to adjust your position as you film. The rig gives you a dedicated support setup around the camera, while the top handle offers another way to hold and guide it. It won’t remove camera movement altogether, but it can make handheld operation feel more supported during a take.
Specialist Note
Does the KB-PS5II suit a LUMIX S5II/X handheld video setup? Yes: it’s made for that camera system, with a cage and top handle in one shoulder-rig configuration. For an interview, I’d use the supported setup to keep the camera easier to manage through a longer take; for a low-angle detail shot, the top handle gives you a grip point above the camera. The Space Grey finish keeps the rig’s look restrained if that matters on set. One thing to keep in mind: it’s still a handheld rig, so it won’t make walking footage completely steady. I’d consider it when you want extra support without locking yourself to a tripod.
