Metabones PL - Leica L Mount T Cine

Metabones PL - Leica L Mount T Cine | A converter for a PL-to-Leica L setup

A lens and camera with different mounts can’t be joined directly; this Metabones converter is named for a PL-to-Leica L pairing. It’s for filmmakers and camera crews whose setup calls for a PL lens on a camera using the Leica L mount. The product name also identifies it as T Cine, so you can distinguish it from other Metabones converters when comparing gear for a cine rig. The useful point is its specific pairing: PL on one side, Leica L on the other. That makes it relevant when those are the two mounts your setup needs to bring together. The name alone doesn’t tell the whole story of how a converter will behave in a particular rig, so treat the mount pairing as the starting point for choosing it, rather than assuming details beyond that. If your lens and camera match the mounts named here, this is the converter to consider.

Choosing by mount

With mount converters, getting the direction right matters. This product’s name identifies PL and Leica L, and the converter category makes its purpose clear: it’s intended to bridge those mounts. That’s the central reason to look at this specific model. It isn’t a general-purpose accessory description; it points to a defined combination for a cine setup.

The “T Cine” wording is part of the product name, so keep it with the full name when searching, comparing, or asking our team about the right item. That helps avoid mixing it up with another converter in the Metabones range. For a purchase decision, start with the mounts your setup requires and match them to the PL and Leica L pairing indicated here. It’s a focused piece of kit for a focused mounting need.
