Mofage Pro Duo Series FSND & Glimmer
Mofage Pro Duo Series FSND & Glimmer - Ten filters for the POCO adapter
A scene that calls for both exposure control and a Glimmer look is where the Mofage Pro Duo Series FSND & Glimmer Advanced Kit earns its place. It brings ten filter elements together for use with the POCO filter adapter: four Pure Clear filters, two Glimmer strengths and four Pro Duo ND strengths. For a camera setup built around this adapter, that gives you a set of fixed and flexible filters to select and combine for different results. Use the ND filters to reduce the light reaching the lens, for example when bright conditions call for a different exposure; choose a Glimmer filter when you want to add that filter effect to your image. The Pure Clear elements are also part of the set, so the kit covers more than one kind of filter use. Its defining feature is the mix of fixed filters and flexible ones that can be swapped and stacked. This makes the Advanced Kit a focused option for POCO adapter users who want several filter choices in one system, rather than a single filter strength or effect.
A flexible filter set
- Four ND strengths: The Pro Duo ND filters are rated 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 and 1.2. Choose between four levels of light reduction to suit changing brightness or the exposure effect you’re after.
- Two Glimmer options: The kit includes Glimmer filters in 1/8 and 1/4 strengths. Having both grades gives you a choice of intensity when adding the Glimmer filter effect.
- Four Pure Clear filters: These clear elements round out the kit’s filter selection. You have four of them in the set to use within the Pro Duo system.
- Fixed and flexible elements: The system combines fixed filters with flexible filters. The flexible elements are intended to be used together with fixed filters, rather than on their own.
- Stackable and interchangeable: Filters can be stacked and swapped, so you can change the combination as your chosen look or light conditions change. The set supports different combinations within the same adapter system.
- Made for the POCO filter adapter: The kit is specified for use with this adapter. That compatibility is central to the set, so it’s suited to owners building their filter setup around POCO.
Specialist Note
The frustration this kit removes is having to settle for one filter option when the scene calls for a different combination. I like that the set brings four ND strengths together: for bright daylight, you can select among 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 and 1.2 to control the amount of light reduction, rather than being limited to a single ND level. The 1/8 and 1/4 Glimmer filters give you a separate choice of strength for that effect. This is a good fit for POCO adapter users who want to move between ND control and Glimmer in one filter system, including for daylight scenes and creative filter combinations. One point to keep in mind: the flexible filters are meant to be paired with fixed filters, so the system works around combinations, not a flexible filter used alone.
