Nedis CAT7-CABLE PiMF RJ45 M RJ45 M 0.50m LSZH White Box

Nedis CAT7-CABLE PiMF RJ45 M RJ45 M 0.50m LSZH White Box | A short wired link for nearby equipment

When two pieces of network equipment sit close together, a long cable can leave an awkward coil behind the desk. This Nedis cable is made for that kind of short connection: it’s a CAT7 cable with PiMF construction, male RJ45 connectors at both ends, and a length of 0.50m. Its white finish may also suit a lighter-coloured workspace where a dark lead would be more noticeable. The LSZH designation is part of the cable’s specification. For a nearby connection that calls for RJ45 at each end, the short length is the useful detail here. It keeps the job simple when the ports are close, though it won’t give you much spare reach if the equipment is further apart.

Plan the route before you connect

With a cable this short, it helps to picture the route between the two ports before you place an order. Measure the distance the cable actually needs to travel, including any bend around the edge of a desk or shelf. A straight-line gap can be misleading if the sockets face different directions or the cable has to pass around an obstacle. That little bit of planning can save an inconveniently tight connection. If the equipment is side by side, a half-metre lead can keep excess cable out of the way; if it’s spread across a room, this isn’t the one to rely on. That’s the honest trade-off: the compact length is handy for a close setup, but it leaves little room for rearranging things later.
