Nedis Coaxial Cable 90dB IEC (Coax) M-IEC (Coax) F 5.0m WH

Nedis Coaxial Cable 90dB IEC (Coax) M-IEC (Coax) F 5.0m | A longer link between coaxial connections

The 5.0m length is the defining choice here: it gives you room to route a coaxial connection between points that aren’t right beside each other. This Nedis cable has a male IEC coax plug at one end and a female IEC coax socket at the other, so it links connections with those matching ends. It suits anyone arranging a coaxial setup where a short lead would leave too little reach. The cable’s 90dB designation is part of its specification; the useful thing to focus on day to day is the run you need and the connection at each end. Its black colour is easy to keep discreet alongside dark equipment or fittings. One practical point: measure the route you intend to take, rather than the straight-line distance between the two points. A cable often needs a little extra length to follow its path neatly.

Planning the cable run

Think through where the cable will travel before connecting it. A route that follows the edge of a room or furniture may be longer than the gap between the connections, and the full 5.0m gives you a concrete limit to plan around. The male and female ends also make the direction of the connection clear: one end plugs into a matching female connection, while the other accepts a matching male plug. That makes this a specific kind of coaxial link, rather than a cable with the same connector at both ends. If you’re comparing it with a lead you already own, match the connector genders and the length to your setup. Those details are what determine whether this particular cable suits the run you have in mind.
