Nedis USB-Cable 3.2 Gen 1 USB-A M USB-B M 5 Gbps Nickel Flated 2 M Round

Nedis USB-Cable 3.2 Gen 1 USB-A M USB-B M 5 Gbps Nickel Flated 2 M Round | A direct USB connection with room to place devices

The two-metre length defines this Nedis cable: it gives you some freedom to position connected equipment without needing to keep it right beside the USB-A connection. One end has a male USB-A plug and the other a male USB-B plug, so it’s intended for a setup with those matching ports. The cable is round and nickel-plated, and its stated USB 3.2 Gen 1 rate is 5 Gbps. It’s a straightforward option for someone who needs a USB-A-to-USB-B cable and wants a little more reach than a short lead offers. The supplied colour is black. There’s no mystery to its role: match the plugs to the two ports, route the cable between them, and you have a direct wired connection. The honest point to keep in mind is that the connector types need to match your equipment; the cable’s name alone doesn’t establish what devices it will connect.

Getting the connection right

USB-A and USB-B describe the plug shapes at opposite ends, so it’s worth thinking about the connection from both sides of your setup. The male USB-A end needs a matching USB-A port, and the male USB-B end needs a matching USB-B port. That simple check matters more than the cable’s length or stated transfer rate if your equipment uses different sockets. Once the connectors match, the two-metre run can help when the devices aren’t positioned side by side. A round cable is also easy to identify by its shape when sorting through other leads. If you’re replacing a cable, compare the plugs at each end rather than relying on a familiar-looking product name. This keeps the choice focused on what the cable actually provides: a USB-A-to-USB-B link in the stated length.
