Nitze Nato Rail w/ Cold Shoe For Atomos Ninja V/Ninja V+ 5 (N49-V1) | Organise Your Ninja Rig

On a tripod-based setup, it can take some thought to arrange a monitor and leave a convenient place for another accessory. The Nitze NATO Rail with Cold Shoe is a tripod accessory for the Atomos Ninja V/Ninja V+ 5, combining a NATO rail and a cold shoe in one mounting piece. That gives you two different mounting options to work with as you plan the space around your monitor. It suits operators building a setup around one of these Ninja units who want to organise the monitor area without adding a separate accessory just to create a shoe position. Think of it as a practical piece of rig hardware: it helps with placement, rather than changing what the monitor can do. Its focus is a more considered layout for tripod work, where the monitor and nearby gear need to fit together.

Specialist Note

This takes away the hassle of trying to plan a Ninja V or Ninja V+ 5 into a tripod setup when you need more than one mounting point. The NATO rail gives you a rail-based way to position the monitor in your rig; the cold shoe gives you a separate spot for a shoe-mounted accessory. I’d arrange the monitor first, then use that shoe position for an accessory you want close to it. It suits operators who want a tidy monitor area without making their setup more complicated than it needs to be. Just keep its role in mind: this is mounting hardware, not an upgrade to the Ninja’s recording or monitoring functions.
