StudioKing Optical Snoot SK-OS1 – An Advanced Lighting Tool for Photographers and Videographers
The StudioKing SK-OS1 Optical Snoot offers an inventive method to control the illumination from your flash or LED light in your photos and videos. It opens up a wealth of creative potential by allowing you to project light onto your scene's backdrop. Highlighting your images with stunning lighting effects can dramatically enhance the mood and atmosphere of your captures.
With the SK-OS1, you get a choice of five distinct colors and ten diverse shapes to experiment with. The device produces a crisp reflection starting from a distance of roughly 1.2 meters. And from a distance of 2.5 meters (from light to surface), it can project an approximate span of 2.2 meters.
Interestingly, the SK-OS1 comes with an included Bowens/Linkstar adapter ring, facilitating the attachment of the optical snoot to your lighting equipment. Once you select a desired Gobo shape and color filter, you just place them into the holders at the front of the SK-OS1. To see the result clearly projected on the wall, you can adjust a knob on top of the device. This action shifts the interior lens, which is responsible for creating the projection.
While the standard adapter ring allows direct connection to any lighting device featuring a Bowens/Linkstar connector, the versatility of the SK-OS1 doesn't end here. You can replace the default adapter ring, opening up the possibility of using this lighting accessory with different brands of flash devices. Separate adapter rings are readily available for this purpose, which can be found among optional accessories.
