Panasonic LUMIX G100D + 12-32mm + DMW-SHGR2 | Compact interchangeable-lens kit

Panasonic LUMIX G100D + 12-32mm + DMW-SHGR2 is a compact mirrorless system camera paired with a 12-32mm lens. It suits photographers who want the flexibility of interchangeable lenses without starting with a larger camera body. The supplied lens covers a useful range, from wider scenes to tighter framing, so you can work with city views, everyday moments and details without changing lenses straight away. This set is a good fit if you’re building a photography kit around a compact camera and want room to add other lenses later. Its appeal is in that balance: a small system-camera setup that gives you a choice of focal lengths and the option to develop your kit over time. The DMW-SHGR2 is part of the product combination, alongside the camera and lens.

Specialist Note

At a café window, the 12-32mm range lets you move from including the whole table to framing a detail on it. I’d start at 12mm for the wider scene, then turn towards 32mm when you want a closer composition. The Micro Four Thirds sensor format and MFT lens mount make this a compact system built around interchangeable lenses; the mount also gives you the option of choosing other MFT lenses as your needs change. It suits someone who wants a small everyday camera kit rather than a fixed-lens camera. One limitation: 32mm won’t give distant subjects much reach, so a longer MFT lens is a sensible next addition for faraway details.
