Permajet Etching Rag 310GSM 17INCHES 15m

Permajet Etching Rag 310GSM 17INCHES 15m | Clear format details for print planning

Paper shopping gets frustrating when the name is familiar but the format is hard to judge. Permajet Etching Rag is photo paper, and its title gives you the key figures up front: 310gsm, a width of 17 inches and a length of 15 metres. That makes it easier to compare with the sizes and paper weight you have in mind before you buy. The Etching Rag name identifies the paper in Permajet’s range; I wouldn’t read extra surface or print-performance claims into the name alone. This is a sensible option to look at if you’re already considering this particular paper and want a generous length in a defined width. The honest limitation is that the title gives no further detail about how the paper looks or behaves in a print, so your decision can rest on the format and the specific paper name rather than assumed qualities.

A practical way to assess the format

Start with the finished print sizes you actually make. A stated width helps you see whether the paper format makes sense for those jobs, while the total length gives you a clear figure for planning how much paper you’re buying. I’d also compare the width with the media path and supported paper sizes of the printer you intend to use; the product name alone can’t settle that question. The listed weight is another useful point when comparing paper options, but it shouldn’t be treated as a promise about surface feel or print results. If you’re choosing between papers, keep the comparison grounded in confirmed details: the named Permajet paper, its weight and its measurements. That’s enough to make an informed format choice without guessing at qualities that haven’t been described.
