Pixel Tranceiver King Pro TX For Canon
Pixel Tranceiver King Pro TX For Canon | Keep off-camera flash in play
Pixel has made the King Pro TX a camera-side transmitter, rather than a flash unit, so its role is focused on triggering off-camera lighting. It’s intended for Canon photographers who want to place flash away from the camera for portraits or product photography. Moving the light gives you room to shape where it falls: for a portrait, you can position the flash to one side; for a product shot, you can adjust its position to control the way the subject is lit. The King Pro TX is best suited to photographers building a simple off-camera flash setup and wanting a transmitter at the camera end of that arrangement. It doesn’t provide illumination itself. Think of it as the link between your Canon camera and the off-camera flash you want to fire, rather than as a replacement for a flash or a complete lighting setup.
Specialist Note
At the camera, the King Pro TX handles the triggering while you concentrate on placing your subject and shaping the light. For a straightforward portrait, start with 1 off-camera flash positioned to one side; for a small product, move that same light around until its direction suits the surface and shape. Its Canon designation makes it the relevant version for Canon photographers, and its transmitter role is specifically about firing off-camera flashes. I’d keep expectations clear: this unit triggers the light, but doesn’t produce any itself, so you’ll need an off-camera flash as well. It’s a focused piece of a lighting setup, not a complete one.
