PolarPro Goldstache Filter - 46mm Threaded
PolarPro Goldstache Filter - 46mm Threaded | Control reflections in bright scenes
A shop window can turn a photograph into a picture of the street reflected in the glass. A polarizing filter can help reduce reflections like these, making it easier to photograph what’s behind the window. The PolarPro Goldstache is a threaded polarizing filter, with a 46mm thread for lenses with a matching filter size. It suits photographers who want more control over reflected light when working around glass or water, and can also help deepen a blue sky when the shooting angle is right. The result depends on the light and your position, so it’s worth checking the effect as you compose rather than expecting the same change in every scene. Its specific appeal is straightforward: a named PolarPro filter in a 46mm threaded size, for scenes where reflections are getting in the way.
Specialist Note
The 46mm threaded ring gives this Goldstache a clear, practical fit: it’s for a lens with a 46mm filter thread, so you can keep the choice focused on the lens you plan to use. As a polarizing filter, it’s worth considering for window reflections or glare on water; adjust its orientation while watching the scene, and stop when the reflection is reduced to your liking. It can also help bring more depth to a blue sky when you’re shooting from a suitable angle. I’d recommend it to someone who regularly photographs through glass or near reflective surfaces. The honest limit is that this size won’t suit a lens with a different filter thread.
