PolarPro Goldstache Filter - 62mm Threaded
PolarPro Goldstache Filter - 62mm Threaded | Control reflections and sky contrast
The PolarPro Goldstache Filter - 62mm Threaded is a screw-in polarizing filter with a 62mm thread. It suits photographers whose lenses have a matching filter thread and who want more control over reflections in a scene. A polarizer can reduce glare from reflective surfaces such as water or glass, and can deepen the appearance of a blue sky when the light is at a helpful angle. That makes it especially useful for landscapes, travel scenes and photographs made through windows. The effect depends on the light and your position, so it’s something to adjust while composing rather than an automatic change to every frame. The Goldstache gives you a direct way to explore that effect on a compatible lens. If reflections are part of the mood you want to keep, you can also use it selectively instead of trying to remove every highlight.
Specialist Note
Photographers framing lakes, shop windows or bright skies will get the most to explore with this PolarPro filter. Its polarizing effect can tame distracting reflections, but it won’t erase every glint; the result depends on the angle of the light, so shift your viewpoint and adjust the filter as you compose. The threaded 62mm fitting means it’s made for a lens with that same filter-thread size, rather than being a universal fit. I’d consider it for landscape work where you want a richer-looking sky, or for glass where you’d like to see more of what’s beyond the surface. It’s a focused tool for controlling glare, not a general-purpose effect filter.
