Pro-Mounts Steadypole
Pro-Mounts Steadypole | Bring more into your selfies
Get yourself and more of the scene into a travel selfie, or fit more people into a group photo. The Pro-Mounts Steadypole is a selfie stick for putting a camera farther from you than your arm can reach, helping you include more in the frame without asking someone else to take the picture. It suits travellers who want to be in their own photos, friends taking group shots, and anyone making action-camera footage from a viewpoint away from their body. For a group picture, look at the framing before you take it and make sure everyone is included; for travel selfies, the extra distance can leave more room for the place around you. The same basic use makes it relevant to action-camera filming. Its appeal is straightforward: it gives you another way to frame yourself and the people with you. It’s a simple, purpose-led option, rather than a product with claims about advanced controls or camera features.
Specialist Note
The Pro-Mounts Steadypole is best at getting the camera away from you for a more inclusive selfie. As a selfie stick, it gives you a framing position beyond arm’s reach; that’s especially handy when you want a group photo without leaving yourself out. I’d take a moment to check the edges of the frame before the shot, so nobody gets cropped out. It also suits action-camera footage when you want the camera’s viewpoint separated from your own body. The uses here are clear, but they’re specific: this is about framing travel selfies, groups and action footage, not a substitute for a tripod when you need a fixed camera position.
