Revar Cine 138mm / 30mm Close-Up Compression Diopter +0.25
Revar Cine 138mm / 30mm Close-Up Compression Diopter +0.25 | Gentle close-up framing for cine work
For closer framing of small details, a close-up diopter gives you another way to approach the shot. The Revar Cine 138mm / 30mm Close-Up Compression Diopter +0.25 is intended for filmmakers and camera crews who want to explore close-up shots with a cine lens. Its +0.25 strength is a gentle option for detail inserts, product shots or a closer portrait within a scene, rather than an extreme close-up effect. The product name also specifies 138mm / 30mm, identifying this version when you’re planning a filter setup. Keep the full designation to hand when discussing the rig, as the strength alone doesn’t identify the product. This is a purpose-specific close-up accessory; its appeal is in helping you work toward nearer framing, not in adding a general image effect to every shot.
Specialist Note
This +0.25 diopter gives you a close-up option before changing your lens choice to get nearer framing. I’d consider it for a product-detail insert or a closer portrait within a scene: use the diopter as your close-up aid while composing the shot you want. The +0.25 strength is gentle, so it suits subtle moves in subject distance rather than extreme macro magnification. The 138mm / 30mm designation is the other detail I’d keep visible when planning a rig; use the complete designation to identify the version, not just the strength. It’s a focused tool for close-up work, rather than a general-purpose filter.
