Rollei Compact Traveler No 2 Tripod
Rollei Compact Traveler No 2 Tripod | Steady support for landscapes and night shots
Camera shake can turn a carefully composed night scene into a soft blur, and it’s frustrating to wait for landscape light to settle while trying to keep a camera steady. The Rollei Compact Traveler No 2 is a tripod that gives your camera stationary support for those moments. It suits photographers who want to work with landscapes, long exposures, night scenes or astro photography, and it can also help keep video steady. For a landscape, it lets you hold a chosen composition while you wait for changing light; for a longer exposure, it gives the camera a fixed position instead of asking your hands to do the job. Astro and night work benefit from the same basic steadiness when exposures run long. It’s also useful for steady video framing. Think of it as support for deliberate shooting rather than a shortcut to better images: composition, focus and exposure still come from you. If these are the situations you shoot, this Rollei is made for the practical task of holding a camera still.
Specialist Note
“Is the Rollei Compact Traveler No 2 worth considering for night shots?” Yes—it's a tripod, so its role is to keep the camera still while you make the exposure. For a static night scene, try 10 seconds as a starting shutter speed, then adjust the exposure to suit the scene; it isn’t a fixed setting for every sky or lens. I’d also consider it for landscape work when you want to settle on one framing and wait for the light, or for steady video where a fixed viewpoint helps. It suits someone who values deliberate, stationary shots. One honest point: a tripod can prevent movement from your hands, but it can’t freeze moving subjects or choose the right exposure for you.
