Sachtler 9106 High Quality Padded Soft Case For Fluid Heads DV10/12
Sachtler 9106 High Quality Padded Soft Case For Fluid Heads DV10/12 | Helps protect your fluid head in a larger bag
The Sachtler 9106 is a padded soft case for DV10/12 fluid heads, made for operators who carry their head inside a larger equipment bag. It gives the head a layer of protection from scratches and bumps during storage and transport, without turning it into a bulky standalone case. This is the sort of accessory that earns its place when your bag also holds other kit and you want to keep the fluid head from rubbing against it. The soft-case format suits a working setup where gear is packed together and unpacked often. Use it to cover the head before placing it in your main bag, or to keep it protected between jobs in storage. Its purpose is focused: protection for a specific Sachtler fluid head, rather than a general-purpose camera bag.
A simple storage routine
Put the fluid head in its case before packing it with the rest of your equipment. That gives it a separate protective layer within the larger bag and helps keep contact with surrounding items from causing scuffs or bumps. It’s a straightforward step when packing up after a job or putting the head away between uses.
Specialist Note
The last kit bag is being packed after a studio session, and the DV10/12 head has its own place before it goes in. I’d recommend this Sachtler case to anyone carrying one of those heads alongside other equipment. The padding gives the head a buffer against everyday knocks and rubbing, while the soft format makes sense for storage inside a larger bag. It’s best used as that protective layer, not as a replacement for your main equipment bag. Slip the head into the case first, then pack it with the rest of your kit; it’s a small, practical habit that helps keep the head protected between setups.
