Sirui Astra Series 100mm T1.8 1.33X FullFrame Cine Lens (Z Mount Neutral Flare) | Fast anamorphic framing for Nikon Z

Sirui Astra Series 100mm T1.8 1.33X FullFrame Cine Lens (Z Mount Neutral Flare) combines a T1.8 maximum aperture with a 1.33X anamorphic design for full-frame Nikon Z filmmaking. It’s built for cinematographers and video creators who want a dedicated short-telephoto prime for carefully composed shots. The 100mm focal length gives a close view suited to dialogue, portrait-style scenes and details, while its 24° angle of view keeps framing comparatively narrow. The anamorphic squeeze gives footage a wider presentation after desqueezing in post-production or on a compatible monitor. The Neutral Flare name identifies this version of the lens. It’s at home on planned narrative, interview or commercial shoots, where you can position the camera with care. That long focal length can feel restrictive in a small room, so allow space to work.

Specialist Note

At T1.8, you have more room to work in dim interiors without immediately reaching for extra light. For a dialogue close-up, I’d start wide open, then adjust focus carefully to keep attention on the speaker; this is a manual-focus lens, so it rewards a measured pull rather than a rushed setup. The 100mm view is also useful for tighter details when you can place the camera farther back. On a Nikon DX body, it frames like a 150mm lens, so expect an even narrower view. I’d choose it for a controlled set, not a cramped room where camera placement is limited.
