On a full-frame setup, the 45mm focal length can work well for dialogue and scene-setting shots, while the anamorphic design expands the horizontal view in the finished image. This is a manual-focus lens, so it rewards planned focus work rather than quick point-and-shoot operation. A common first-time anamorphic mistake is judging the squeezed image as if that’s the final composition.
