SmallRig 4269B NP-FZ100 Dummy Battery w/ Power Adapter (European Standard) | Adapter power for tripod-based setups

Its defining design decision is the NP-FZ100 dummy-battery format: it lets the camera draw power through its battery compartment from an adapter, rather than relying on a charged NP-FZ100 battery. SmallRig’s 4269B is a tripod accessory for photographers who keep a camera in one place for a longer session, such as a fixed product setup or a static recording position. The power adapter makes that kind of setup more practical when you have access to a suitable power connection. This version is specified as European Standard, so it’s aimed at use with that standard of power connection. It’s a focused solution for stationary work, rather than something to carry around as a spare camera battery. The key benefit is being able to plan a fixed setup around adapter power instead of changing batteries mid-session.

Specialist Note

Photographers making long product sequences or recording a seated interview are the people I’d point toward this SmallRig. With the NP-FZ100 dummy-battery format, you can power the camera through its battery compartment, which is handy when the framing needs to stay put for the whole session. Set the camera on the tripod, arrange your shot, and use the adapter power for that fixed position. The European Standard version suits a setup using that power standard. The trade-off is simple: you’re working near a power connection, so it’s less suited to moving freely between locations. For a planned, stationary shoot, that’s a sensible exchange.
