The SmallRig 5197 Cage Kit is specifically designed to enhance the handheld filming experience for the Canon EOS R6 Mark II. This thoughtfully crafted kit not only improves portability but also expands accessory options for the camera. It includes a robust cage, a USB-C & HDMI cable clamp, and an ergonomic top handle, allowing for easier transport and shooting from lower angles.
Both the cage and the top handle feature multiple expansion interfaces, which include:
- Various 1/4"-20 threaded holes for attaching monitor mounts (SmallRig ID 2904B)
- Numerous cold shoe mounts for microphones (SmallRig ID 3487) and videolights (SmallRig IDs 4660, 3286B)
- Integrated 3/8"-16 ARRI locating holes for compatible monitor mounts (SmallRig ID 2903B)
- A NATO rail on the left side to accommodate NATO-compatible accessories like side handles (SmallRig IDs 4485, 3260)
The included USB-C & HDMI cable clamp securely attaches to the left side of the cage with two M3 screws, preventing cable sagging. A dual key is provided to tighten the screws and secure cables, protecting the camera's USB-C and HDMI ports while ensuring stable data transmission.
For added convenience, the cage features dedicated wrist strap slots on both sides, along with a magnetic dual key located on the bottom to simplify attachment and removal processes.
