SmallRig 5482 Baseplate w/ Airtag Slot For Sony Alpha 7C II / Alpha 7CR (Silver) | A place for an AirTag in your camera setup

The defining choice is a baseplate with a slot for an AirTag: it gives photographers using a Sony Alpha 7C II or Alpha 7CR a way to keep an AirTag with their camera setup. SmallRig makes this for those two camera models, rather than presenting it as a general-purpose plate. That makes it a focused accessory for owners who want a baseplate and a dedicated place for an AirTag in one piece. The silver finish suits a silver-toned setup, while the model-specific design keeps the intended cameras clear. If you carry your camera around town, pack it for a trip or store it with your kit, the slot gives you a practical place for an AirTag. It’s a straightforward accessory: choose it for that combination of camera fit and AirTag placement.

Specialist Note

Street and travel photographers carrying a Sony Alpha 7C II or Alpha 7CR are the people I’d point towards this baseplate. The AirTag slot gives you a place for an AirTag alongside the camera, which can be handy when your kit is packed away or travelling with you; remember, the plate itself isn’t a tracker. Its fit is specified for these two Alpha models, so you’re choosing a plate made for your camera rather than a broadly described accessory. The silver finish is a neat visual match for a silver-toned setup. It’s a considered add-on if AirTag placement is the reason you want a baseplate; if you don’t use an AirTag, that slot may not matter to you.
