SmallRig 5664 L-Shaped Mount Plate w/ Silicone Handle For Fujifilm X-T30(Silver)
SmallRig 5664 L-Shaped Mount Plate w/ Silicone Handle For Fujifilm X-T30 (Silver) | Added support for handheld video
SmallRig pairs an L-shaped mount plate with a silicone handle to give the Fujifilm X-T30 a more supported setup for handheld video. The 5664 is a shoulder rig for X-T30 owners who want extra support while recording, rather than relying on the camera alone. It suits moving shots, recorded conversations and short behind-the-scenes clips where you need to follow the action or adjust your framing as you go. The plate-and-handle design gives the setup a clear purpose: supporting handheld work while leaving you free to reposition the camera. It’s a practical way to build a video setup around your X-T30 without turning every shot into a fixed-camera setup. Keep in mind that extra support isn’t the same as a locked-off frame; if you need the camera to stay still for a long take, a tripod is the better tool.
Specialist Note
At a late-afternoon interview, a speaker shifts in their chair and the frame needs to follow; that’s where this SmallRig makes sense. The L-shaped plate gives the X-T30 a rig-style support layout, and the silicone handle gives your hand a defined place to hold while you follow the speaker or record a short behind-the-scenes clip. I’d keep movements measured and use the handle to support the camera as you reframe, rather than expecting it to remove every shake. It suits X-T30 owners making handheld video who want added support without giving up the ability to move. For a fixed, long take, a tripod is still the steadier answer.
