SmallRig 5881 Power V-Mount Battery Adapter Plate w/ 15mm Dual Rod Clamp 5881

SmallRig 5881 Power V-Mount Battery Adapter Plate with 15mm Dual Rod Clamp | Put V-mount power on a rod-mounted rig

Without an adapter plate, adding a V-mount battery to a camera rig can mean piecing together a mounting solution from separate parts. The SmallRig 5881 combines a V-mount battery adapter plate with a 15mm dual rod clamp, giving rig builders one named part for that setup. It’s suited to people putting together a camera rig around V-mount power and 15mm rods, particularly when they want the battery plate and rod-clamp role handled together. The appeal here is specific: it brings those two parts of the rig into one product, rather than asking you to shop for them separately. The title gives the key details, but no more than that; I wouldn’t assume extra connections or functions based on the product name alone. If your build calls for this combination, the SmallRig 5881 is a straightforward item to consider.

It’s worth thinking about the physical layout of your rig before choosing any battery plate. This model’s name points to a V-mount plate and a clamp for two 15mm rods, so those are the terms to compare with the setup you’re building. That’s a practical starting point, not a claim about fit with a particular camera or rig. SmallRig’s model number is 5881. There’s no need to read more into the name than it says: it identifies a power adapter plate with a dual-rod clamp, for a build where that arrangement is the one you’re after. Simple, specific, and easy to assess against your rig plan.
