SmallRig 6114 Cage For Sony Alpha 7R V / 7S III / 1 w/ Vertical Grip VG-C4EM

SmallRig 6114 Cage For Sony Alpha 7R V / 7S III / 1 w/ Vertical Grip VG-C4EM | Protection for a gripped Sony camera

When you use one of the named Sony cameras with the VG-C4EM vertical grip attached, choosing a cage for that exact combination matters. The SmallRig 6114 is made for the Sony Alpha 7R V, Alpha 7S III or Alpha 1 with this grip, so its intended setup is clear from the product name. It belongs to the protection category, making it relevant when you want a cage as part of protecting that camera-and-grip configuration. The key point is the specific pairing: this isn’t simply described as a cage for a camera body on its own. If your setup matches, the 6114 gives you a clearly identified option to consider. If you use one of the named bodies without the VG-C4EM, the product title doesn’t describe that configuration. That distinction is the most useful thing to know before choosing it.

Made for a particular camera setup

SmallRig names three camera models for this cage: the Alpha 7R V, Alpha 7S III and Alpha 1. The VG-C4EM vertical grip is part of the stated compatibility too. In practical terms, choose this model when your camera is one of those three and you use it with that grip; the pairing is what sets this product apart in the listing. It’s a straightforward match to consider for a setup that already uses the named grip, rather than a reason to assume compatibility with other cameras or configurations. That specificity is useful when comparing cage listings, where a similar product name may refer to a different camera combination. The honest takeaway: the model and grip combination are central to the choice, so make sure they match the setup you’re shopping for.
