SmallRig 720 Quick Release Chest Strap Mount For Action Camera
SmallRig 720 Quick Release Chest Strap Mount For Action Camera | Keep your camera at chest level
If you’re filming a hands-on demonstration or want a chest-level viewpoint while moving, a chest strap mount keeps the action camera positioned on your body rather than in your hand. The SmallRig 720 is made for that setup, with a quick-release design for attaching and removing the camera from the mount. It suits action-camera owners who want a wearable viewpoint for practical activities, recorded walk-throughs or other footage where holding the camera would get in the way. The appeal is straightforward: chest mounting gives you a distinct point of view, while quick release makes the mount easier to work with when you want to take the camera off. Its purpose is specific, so think of it as a chest-mounting accessory, not a general support for other kinds of shooting. The product name identifies it as the SmallRig 720.
Specialist Note
The chest-strap position changes the viewpoint: your action camera sits at body level, leaving your hands free for the activity in front of it. I’d consider this for a recorded walk-through or a hands-on task where a chest-level view helps show what you’re doing; position the camera on the strap before starting, then use the quick-release design when you need to remove it. The 720 is the model number to use when asking us about this particular SmallRig mount. It’s a focused accessory rather than a universal support, so its value is in that specific chest-mounted setup. If that’s the angle you want from your action camera, the design makes sense.
