Sony BC-VM10 Acculader

Sony BC-VM10 Battery Charger | Charge M-series batteries from a mains outlet

Charge a camera battery from a mains outlet and have a clear signal for when charging is finished. The Sony BC-VM10 Battery Charger supplies 8.4 V and is intended for Sony M-series batteries. It’s a focused charging unit for keeping a compatible battery ready between photo sessions, or for charging one while you prepare the rest of your camera kit. There’s no display to interpret: the charger uses a small orange lamp to show its status, with the lamp going out when the battery is fully charged. Its compact measurements and low weight make it straightforward to place on a shelf or desk alongside your other equipment. The supplied mains lead and manual are included with the charger, so the box contains the listed essentials for using it as a mains-powered charger. Check the operating temperature range if you plan to use it somewhere other than a typical indoor setting: its stated range is 0°C to 40°C.

Charger Features

• For M-series batteries: The BC-VM10 is specified for Sony batteries in the M series. That makes the battery series the key detail to match when choosing this charger for an existing camera setup.
• Orange charging indicator: An orange lamp comes on while the charger is connected and charging. It gives you a visible status cue at a glance, without needing to rely on a screen or a series of indicator lights.
• Lamp goes out at full charge: The orange light switches off when the battery is fully charged. That change provides a simple finishing signal, useful when the charger is on a desk or another spot where you can see it.
• Compact dimensions: At 70 × 25 × 95 mm, the BC-VM10 has a small footprint. Those measurements are handy to have when you’re deciding where to keep a regular charging spot or how much shelf space to set aside.
• Lightweight unit: The charger weighs 90 g. It’s easy to move between a storage area and a charging spot, and its weight is useful to know when you’re packing equipment for a trip.
• Stated operating range: Sony’s listed operating temperature is 0°C to 40°C. This gives you a specific range to bear in mind when choosing where to use the charger.
