TetherTools TetherPro USB 3.0 USB 3.0 Micro-B RT-Ang Adap Or

TetherTools TetherPro USB 3.0 Micro-B Right Angle Adapter, Orange | A right-angle connection for your USB setup

The defining choice here is the right-angle shape: it turns the connection instead of leaving it straight out from the port. That can make a difference when the cable’s direction matters in a particular setup. This TetherTools TetherPro adapter is named for USB 3.0 and Micro-B, with “RT-Ang” identifying its right-angle design and “Or” indicating orange. It’s a small cable accessory for photographers and other users working with a USB 3.0 Micro-B connection who need an adapter with that angled form. The useful thing is specific: it changes the direction of the connection. It isn’t a cable, and the product name doesn’t identify a camera or other device it fits, so it’s best to treat it as an adapter for the named connection rather than assume a particular device match. If you’re comparing options, the details to focus on are the USB 3.0 Micro-B connection and the right-angle format.

Why choose a right-angle adapter?

A straight connection projects outward from the port; a right-angle adapter redirects that connection to the side. Depending on where the port sits and how the cable is routed, that can help keep the connection from extending straight out into the surrounding space. The exact direction the adapter turns will depend on how it’s positioned, so consider the layout of your own setup rather than assuming a fixed left- or right-facing orientation. The orange finish also makes this adapter easier to pick out by color among accessories. That’s a practical detail when you’re sorting several small items, though it doesn’t change the connection type. In short, this model is defined by its USB 3.0 Micro-B naming, its right-angle form and its orange color—not by a stated camera fit or a particular cable length.
