The TTArtisan 11mm f/2.8 is an ultra-wide prime for full-frame Canon EF cameras, suited to landscape, architecture and night-sky work when a conventional wide view feels too tight. Its 11mm focal length takes in a generous sweep of a scene, so you can keep a dramatic foreground and plenty of setting in the same frame. The f/2.8 maximum aperture is useful when light is scarce, particularly for stars and night landscapes. This is a manual-focus lens, so it rewards deliberate framing and careful focusing rather than quick point-and-shoot use. Choose it when you want the wide view itself to shape the image, not simply to fit more into the edges.

Specialist Note

126° gives you room to bring a strong foreground and a lot of sky into one frame, which is why I’d reach for this lens for dramatic landscapes or night-sky compositions. For architecture, place the important detail near the centre and use the curved edges as part of the composition; straight lines can bend in a fisheye view. The f/2.8 aperture helps when photographing stars: I’d start around 10 seconds, then adjust ISO to suit the scene. Focus is manual, so take time to set it carefully on a distant star. It suits photographers who enjoy shaping a frame deliberately; that distinctive curvature won’t suit every building or scene.
