TTArtisan 14mm f/2.8 FullFrame - Sony E Mount is an ultra-wide 14mm prime for photographers who want a broad view and are happy to focus manually. It’s made for Sony E full-frame cameras, with a 114° angle of view that takes in expansive scenes without needing to step far back. That makes it particularly well suited to landscapes and architecture, where the wide framing can bring more of a place into the picture. It’s also suited to astrophotography, where a wide lens helps include plenty of sky. Manual focus asks you to set focus yourself, so this lens best suits considered compositions rather than fast-changing subjects. If you enjoy working deliberately and choosing exactly where the frame begins and ends, its very wide perspective gives you plenty to shape.

Specialist Note

With manual focus, your setup is a little more deliberate: you choose the focus point, then build the frame around it. I’d consider this lens for architecture when you can take time to place the camera carefully, or for night-sky scenes where you can focus on a bright star before composing. Its f/2.8 maximum aperture gives you room to use a wider opening for astro work. On a Sony APS-C body, the view is equivalent to 21mm, which is still wide but less expansive than on full frame. The honest trade-off is that focusing is your job; for subjects that move quickly, I’d choose a different approach.
